The Challenge

The California Autism Foundation (CAF) has a wonderful reputation in the community as a pioneer in the field of autism care. Once led by visionary John Clay, the CAF houses a school, a residence, a full range of family support services, a jobs training program for adults with autism or developmental disabilities, and a packaging facility on their Richmond campus (and even a chocolate factory!). Yet none of their fundraising materials reflected this amazing story.

Defining the ABCs

Abigail spent the next four months working with the CAF leadership staff and community to create a truly unique, concise and comprehensive brand profile. The goal was to clearly define the organization and present all of its innovative program components, extensive array of services, and outstanding results for residents with autism and developmental disabilities. She then teamed up with talented graphic designer Carol Banks Design to freshen up CAF brand identity and present the “A Better Chance (ABC)” story in a context that communicated the success of these all-encompassing programs.

Success

We were happy to learn that fundraising for the organization showed significant gains the following year. Abigail continued to work with Carol Banks for the next four years.
